Warlingham Short Mat Bowls Club
"Bowls is often depicted as an old person's sport but really, it is more a young person's sport that older people can still play."

About Us
Warlingham Short Mat Bowls Club is a very popular mixed club that plays 3 times a week in Warlingham Church Hall, Surrey. The Club was founded in the 1980's and has 3 mats. It caters for all abilities, whether you just want a friendly roll-up or something more serious. For the more competitively minded we have internal competitions and inter-club matches but primarily people come to enjoy themselves, have a laugh and savour the craic. We also have a hot drink and a biscuit (or cake, if you're lucky !) at half time.
Roll-ups take place all year round on Mondays 1.30pm-3.30pm, Wednesdays 10am-12pm and Fridays 2pm-4pm, including most Bank Holidays. Dress code is something comfortable with flat soled shoes. Tuition will be provided for new bowlers and bowls can be borrowed initially. Please aim to arrive about 30 minutes before the start so that the equipment can be set up and the teams organised. Green fees are £2 per session to include refreshments. Annual membership is £30.
The club is currently closed to new membership with a healthy waiting list. As soon as the situation changes it will be notified on this page.
Warlingham SMBC is registered with the ESMBA via London County SMBA.
